Lester (Les) Clark, Jr. joined Juneau Oil & Gas in 2018 to head up its land and business development activities. Prior to joining Juneau, he co-founded a Gulf Coast and Offshore GOM-focused exploration company, Pingora Exploration Company, in 2002, whose business was the generation and sale of prospects to third-party industry partners. At Pingora, he was primarily responsible for all land and business development-related functions and co-management of general business activities with other managers/members. In 1998, he co-founded Juniper Energy, LP, an Offshore GOM-focused exploration company, partnering with Enron Capital. Before this, he served as the Vice President of Land at Zilkha Energy from 1992-1998, where he reported to Brad Juneau. Les served as a landman and analyst at the beginning of his career for several companies in the 1980s, including Houston Oil & Minerals and Tenneco. Les earned his MBA from the University of Houston in 1988 and his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980.
