Philip Miller is a Geologist at Juneau Oil & Gas, LLC. His primary responsibility is prospect generation in the New Mexico Delaware Basin, Texas Permian Basin, and offshore Gulf of Mexico. Prior to joining Juneau in 2018, Philip spent seven years at Shell Exploration and Production Company. During his time on the Permian Team, he worked with a multidisciplinary team to personally plan and drill over 40 wells. Additionally, he served as the Non-Operated Venture and Area Well Operations Focal Point, which exposed him to a broad range of development and production strategies and issues, and he coordinated and collaborated with EOG and Anadarko’s Permian divisions. As a Senior Production Geologist, Philip was responsible for the creation of Shell E&P’s full field development plan and total asset rig schedule covering ~80,000 acres with ~300 well locations targeting multiple horizons. His career at Shell began with two years working Deep Water Gulf of Mexico as a Development Geologist for the Stones Asset, where he generated and updated 3D static reservoir models, assisted in the field development plan and supervised logging operations. He has earned multiple Achievement Awards and his performance ranked in the top 10% at Shell.

Philip earned his Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
